ABOUT

A visual artist and musician, Sharon received a BFA/Music from York University in Classical performance (cello) and improvisation. While there, she also studied classical South Indian music, printmaking and painting.

Much of her personal and professional life has been closely linked with issues of local and global social justice. This, along with her faith, interests in aesthetics and the ‘urban landscape’ and a passion for exploring different media is the impetus for much of her art

In addition to pursuing her own work, Sharon particularly enjoys working with adults and those who haven’t had the encouragement or opportunity to access and unleash the creative potential within themselves, and help to gently coax it to the surface. Currently Sharon is 'Artist in Residence' at a variety of communities in the Toronto area.

These days, most of her creative energy goes, joyfully, into her amazing little boy.
