Hi my name is Dave Alan and I do photography part time here in Las Vegas. I am originally from NY. I have been around photography off and on as a hobby since I was a kid. Yes I was the kid taking pictures of butterflies in bikinis and bumble bees in glamorous poses. HAHA. Seriously for the past few years I shot content for model websites, but have always stayed in the background until now. Why now? Because I see many models with great potential but they lack the images to match. Without great images it makes it that much more difficult to book a client or get that call back. The competition is high here in Vegas and in other markets and your images can make or break you. Have you ever wondered why some models are so busy and why some sit home? Fact is the models who are the busiest have great images.

What motivates me? I am being told "You have an eye for glamour photography" and "You see the light" and all though my future is still unfolding I hope to fine tune my style to one that is highly regarded and requested by the many beautiful and dedicated models all over the world. As one great photographer friend told me "Dave your just a rookie, you have to walk before you can run". What I find most difficult is that I want to run first. I have many ideas running through my mind and a burning to capture them. Recently I shot 15 beautiful models within a 3 hour time frame and it felt similar to what a musical performer must feel before they go on stage. An electric feeling with an edge. I had nervous positive energy. I know it is positive because I care so much about giving the model the best I am able to. With that in mind it is my sincere desire to continue to learn, study and grow as a photographer and earn respect amongst my peers and hopefully put the "rookie" label to rest.

Shooting Philosophy: I probably come from a different angle than many of today's photographers as I do not shoot nudes. I have always felt that if an image is done correctly there isn't a need for it. However I do respect the ones who do shoot that style and admire there work greatly. I look to shoot very glamorous images that show a woman's sensuality. I think the imagination is a wonderful but sort of lost brain function in today's world. When I see a Frederick's of Hollywood or Victoria Secrets catalog I think that is tasteful and respectful to a woman's beauty, but very glamorous. I hope to always make images that appeal to all the viewer's senses. Sensual, Sexy and Vivid images that make the model and viewer smile. Whether it be in a business suit, lingerie or anywhere in between my goal is to make beautiful images that the model is proud of.

My partner is a female Professional Model (some of her images are featured in my portfolio). She is a successful print, catalog and tradeshow model. She will accompany me at all shoots to assist (schedule permitting) and her knowledge of the industry is incredible. In the event she cannot assist a chaperone is highly encouraged. We both understand the importance of you being comfortable (safety is so important ) and an extra set of eyes and hands makes a huge difference in the outcome of the images. We both know the modeling "business" extremely well and how to market oneself to get work and stay busy and not fall prey to the many wolves out there. Modeling can be a very fullfilling career but one that takes dedication and hard work. Being successful at modeling isn't any different than running your own business.

For now I shoot outdoors only or anywhere there is natural light. I look to expand to shooting indoors with studio strobes in the near future. Vegas has wonderful locations to shoot like the Valley Of Fire, Red Rock and the Dry Flat Beds as well as the many beautiful Hotel grounds. We also have a fantastick Pool and Jacuzzi in a lush tropical setting. This is the desert and the pool is always 92 plus degrees. I also will be specializing in portfolio building for new and established models.

I will also provide a minimum of 10 edited images emailed to you within one week for personal promotion and web use. If you need additional images edited for comp cards, websites, enlargements for your portfolio I can provide editing at an additional charge (see rate page).
